From January 1, 2025, a new billing law will come into force. in which the creation and receipt of e-invoices becomes mandatory.
Is there a planned feature or update in GHL?

GoBD-compliant invoices (immutable invoice numbers, no deletion, audit trail)

For EU countries like Germany, invoices must be revision-safe and compliant with accounting regulations (e.g. GoBD).
Currently, invoices in HighLevel can be deleted and recreated using the same invoice number, which makes the system non-compliant for accounting use.
To make the invoice feature usable in Germany and other EU markets, the following would be required:
Invoice numbers must be immutable and never reusable
Invoices must not be deletable, only cancelable via credit note / cancellation invoice
All changes should be logged in an audit trail
Historical invoices must remain permanently accessible
This becomes especially important with VAT / Reverse Charge support for EU businesses, otherwise the invoice feature cannot be legally used for bookkeeping.

Very important point. But that is not the end of it either. Highlevel cannot avoid hiring a tax advisor who is familiar with EU tax law to ensure that the GoBD guidelines are met.

A crucial point, otherwise payments cannot be used as a valid selling point in EU market.
Here's how other CRM providers with invoicing options handle this:
1) When an invoice is deleted/canceled: Change the invoice text from "Invoice" to "Invoice Cancellation" or add "-CANCEL" after the invoice number (e.g., RG-2026-002698-CANCEL).
2) Once an invoice has been sent or marked as "sent," it is considered finalized and should no longer be editable unless documented. Many providers address this by displaying "-V1 // -V2" etc. as soon as the "Edit" button is clicked. For example: 1st Change RG-2026-002698-V2 // 2nd Change RG-2026-002698-V3
3) Invoice number interval. Currently, I can freely adjust the invoice number interval within an invoice / at invoice creation. The next invoice will then use this interval. So I could write 150 now and set the next invoice to 2290.
It would be better to have an option in the settings, where the prefix is also set.

This is enshrined in law that this must be complied with.

Hello? GHL? It's been over one year since this time sensitive topic has been brought up. A lot of B2B customers will have to look for an alternative to GHL in the EU by tomorrow.
