Backdating Invoices

Ability to have an invoice due date that is in the past. (Some clients have asked for this flexibility when they are late on bookkeeping)

Yes, the fact that this doesn’t exist is somewhat crazy. I have a client whose monthly invoice we missed, and although he knew about it, he didn’t say anything. Now it looks like we’re giving him another 30 days to pay simply because there’s no way to backdate the invoice.

Sometimes you need to create a backdated invoice. Reasons could include accounting/billing system migrations, converting last week's "back of the napkin" in-person invoice/agreement into a "real" invoice, or just for internal or testing purposes.

Agreed!
The inability to edit/modify/change anything on an invoice is not a Stripe issue nor is it whatever merchant that folks are using. This is a HL issue.
For example - if something needs modified, and hopefully there is a MANUAL payment, that payment needs to be "refunded" and the invoice voided. Then, the invoice needs to be recreated and payment reapplied. But the payment date is the current date, not the original date. This throws off all the financials and makes it extremely difficult for decision makers to understand what their business is doing since there is so much WORK AROUND to make the system function. If the client pays through the invoice through the merchant - there is no workaround.
