It seems that you can send an invoice directly and create an autopay for a payment plans, but that option isn't available in templates from what I can tell. For example, if we have a specific service and offer 2 or 3 month payment plans and prefer the customer pay with ACH on autopay, I would have to manually create every first month invoice and then create the payment plan within that invoice each time. That is less efficient than being able to create this in a template.
