This can be done with an invoice, but not if it's purchased thru a checkout page. We need to be able to either get a copy of the receipt that is sent to the user not just the client, or send an email with the product description in the email notification.

YES!! Specific use case: When a funnel purchase triggers an automation, it would be great to have ALL product details available in the workflow -- for custom receipts and notifications. For example, if someone purchases a coaching package, I'd like to be able to make a note for the contact and send an internal notification with the exact product (e.g. 3 sessions, 6 sessions) and the price they paid. Then, I'd like to send a custom receipt or confirmation to the client with those details in it. Right now you have to set up a complex logic chain in an automation to get that information, and if you update the product, you have to update the logic chain accordingly.
