Add a True “Expired” Subscription Status
D
Daisy Abela
Currently, subscriptions that successfully reach the end of their term are marked as Cancelled, the same status used for failed payments or manual cancellations.
Although “Expired” appears in some filters and UI areas, it is not an actual system-driven or assignable status, which causes confusion for teams and customers.
Why this matters:
* No clear distinction between term-complete vs failed/cancelled subscriptions
* Confusing for customers seeing “Cancelled” after a successful term
* Limits accurate reporting and lifecycle tracking
Request:
Introduce a system-driven “Expired” status that automatically applies when a subscription term ends successfully and is distinct from Cancelled.
This would greatly improve clarity, reporting, and overall subscription UX.
