The invoices are one-way. Meaning, invoices sent through GHL are sent to quickbooks. However, this may cause overlap with the client's handling of QBO invoices and automations. we should be able to FULLY customize the direction, actions, and results of invoices being created/updated/sent/paid in either platform.

Agreed I’d take a native-first approach, using GHL/QBO’s built-in capabilities wherever possible and only bringing in Make, n8n, or Zapier when needed.
The goal would be a fully customizable two-way GHL ↔ QBO invoice workflow, with complete control over create, update, send, and payment events, along with proper field mapping, filters, and conflict prevention.
