Store Page for Courses
M
Marcus Mottley
I've pulled the following recommendations together since they are really about one specific issue. I have been posting about this forever... and still no response from GHL...
1) I would like to see a Store front Page that "automatically" lists/shows all courses. (NOT a library page for members... A storefront page...)
2) We need a template with a page that populates with courses-products. Presently the templates load ecom products but there is need for a template that is designed as a course page (with all the coursed being listed.)
3) Develop a page that automatically shows all ‘course’ products…

Lisa I got a call from one of the developers about two months ago. My understanding is that this isn’t a priority for GHL. He tried to steer me towards what’s already there where ‘products’ can be loaded into a page. But while this works well for ecom products it’s not a good dit for courses (which, for example, need a more thorough and robust description than a t-shirt or knee brace). So, yes, someone followed up, and I gave a thorough description, demonstrated how the current generic ‘product’ setup looks when it tries to load courses and even showed exactly what I was looking for by showing my own course page that I have built … and so far…. I‘ve had no further responses-

Marcus Mottley oh bummer I know this system does so much but I can imagine that hundreds if not more members of GHL have courses that they sell. I am considering moving to Pillar to put my courses on then connect to GHL for the automation - be great to brainstorm with you

Rather, allow us to add it as a widget in a funnel / website. Ie when you add products to a funnel you should be able to select "courses" or something. Rather than having to build out a section for each course, really time consuming when you have 45 courses that are changing and being updated you then have to go into your web page and edit each element selling your course. where with Learnpress you can just drag a course widget onto your page and map out how you want. how many columns how many rows
just like a post filter
do you want to pin some courses at the top? do you want a load more button? or only show 9? etc category filters? or no category filtersJ

Yes please! I'm not sure why this is not already a thing. With all of the work on the course builder this would be a great addition.

The simplest way for GHL to fix this is to set up a distinct process for courses/digital products including:
- A specific store page for courses
- A specific process related to that store that includes:
- digital products are linked to their offer pages
- digital products can be accessed when purchased (not just downloaded)
- workflows are created that relate to product purchases including access information etc, abandoned cart…
- digital products can be bundled without problems experienced by customers
In other words.. everything that I am asking is something that I have had to do manually including my ‘funnel’ store / course front page. When I tried to use the ecom store process, it was a disaster. And the tech people did not have any answers. To their credit… they are trying… but… the only fix is what I am suggesting. A dedicated store for courses and digital products

Courses should be treated differently from physical ecom products. Courses should have a course page that’s setup differently. Currently If a customer clicks on l a course from the ‘store’ page, they are not taken to the robust and detailed ‘‘offer’ page which was setup for that specific course. They are taken to the page that has the basic info about the course. That’s not good enough

I would like GHL to really consider this. I have had to 'build' my own course page and add courses manually.

With enough flexibility in the format/template that it can be used in any way the client wants:
“Events”
“Programs”
“Sections”
“Cohorts”
“Products”
No button should be hard coded on the front side. It might be a single purpose button on the back side; but, the text, subtext and colors should all be indexed by the account brand center (sub account/location, not agency).
