Read-only fields in forms and surveys

There are situations where we would like to display information to the user but we don't want to allow them to edit that information for instance we have a meeting status update form and we want to display the contacts name/phone/email but the person completing the form where they update the status of the call should not be able to change the details of the contact.

Sales & Marketing is it possible to consider this feature to have read-only custom fields in forms and surveys? It seems simple to implement and it is useful when we only want to show a custom field, but not to be updated.

You could just as easily use the custom field in text vs having a read only field, especially for text intstances. May not work as well for fields with options.
