It would be very helpful if we could select an existing contact from the database in a form to add data about an associated object, for example. I have a database where contacts own more than one truck, and the truck is a custom object. What I would like to do is open the form I created to add the truck, select the contact that is already in the database, and enter the truck's data. This way, I don't have to repeat the contact's information, and the contact would be directly associated with the truck. It would also allow me to add a new truck to the same contact using the form. We are facing this problem even with a client who runs an insurance agency. They have to add the contact, and in the same form, they have to enter the data for child 1, then child 2, and so on, potentially up to 5 or 10 children. This becomes very cumbersome if it's not possible to make the children custom objects and allow them to add one or two contacts (in the case of a mother and father) along with the children.

We definitely need to improve how we work with custom objects.
