Ability to restrict form/survey phone field by country codes

I only want phone numbers with country code +1 to be able to submit my forms and surveys.
The form validation should allow the country code flag switcher but when any country code other than the one(s) that I allow is chosen, it should display an error like, "We are currently only able to communicate with phone numbers from country code(s): +1, +2, and +3"
This is displayed before they even type in their number so they don't feel like they wasted their effort entering their whole number and then got rejected.

This seems like a fundamental issue that needs to be addressed ASAP. Having filtering of phone numbers based on number length or better yet Country code is a must have. Any rumblings as to whether this is something on the horizon?
