Trigger for comments on Meta ads, not just organic!

We have this in GHL:
Facebook & Instagram comment automation
..the ability to trigger from a comment on an organic post but this would SO powerful if we can also trigger off of comments on ads on Meta, FB and IG as well.
I believe Manychat can do this so if we really want to compete with Manychat at this level, this is a NO BRAINER. This would be SO big for local businesses trying to market on FB and IG!!

If I'm not mistaken, we can indeed set comment replies on a certain Meta ad. All you need to do is get the post ID or link, then paste it into the GHL workflow when you set it up. I have set this up before and it works

Samantha Wong Crunch Team. I'm trying to achieve the same thing, but I can only able to set comment automation on my Facebook and Instagram posts, but not on ads. Could you please explain how you achieve that? Where should we paste the link into the GHL workflow?

Arooba Iqbal, this is the setting to set for a specific ad post.
To get the link for your published Facebook ad, go to Meta Ads Manager, navigate to the Ads tab, and select your ad. Click the Share icon and select Facebook Post with Comments to view the live post. The URL in your browser is your direct ad link.

Wait, so one person says it's working and another says it's not? That's confusing. We've been trying to get this working for our restaurant clients but haven't had luck with ad comments. Are you using a specific workflow setup that actually captures ad comments reliably?

This is working as of Oct 2025 I had a campaign where we sucessfully automated replies to comments and even DM responses to comments on ads in Facebook & Instagram. It worked flawlessly. Took a LOT of careful working within the workflows to make it happen, but it worked. The trigger for comments on posts is what you'll use, just be very careful with the following steps to ensure you don't overdo or create loops and get blocked by Meta. It is doable though quite easily with those triggers.

100% agree, I am running the meta ads and comments on my ads is neglected. I can't see them in HL I can't reply from HL

Would be a very important upgrade. Currently, I notice that this works reasonably well with organic posts. But it works very badly with reels, especially with promoted or advertised ones.
Actually, you still need Manychat if you want to offer the right quality to your customers. GHL if manychat can make this so simple, wouldn't you be able to do this too, I think?

Trigger based on Comments on Ads would be excellent!!! Has anyone tried uploading the organic post then converting it to a paid ad. Does it allow you to respond to comments?
