if your team can send yourself tests you will see the emails 100% come up centred in the inbox

The left aligned email can be achieved by following the steps -

Go to the Appearance section in builder
Go to the template section
In the content width and keep it blank
Keep the content left aligned.

Sales & Marketing this is a step in the right direction - but can a text element have a maximum width (e.g., 600px) and STILL be flush left?

Sales & Marketing whilst this sounded great, I just tested it and whilst the text does shows left in the Editor after removing the content width, when the email gets sent and hits the Inbox (Outlook latest version on PC) it's back to being centred so this isn't fixed. 
Even if you get this working with this "workaround" we also agree with Greg Koorhan that we still need a maximum width setting that works WITH aligning left.
Please re-open this task.

Sales & Marketing - please re-open and fix this properly. We just had another client asking how they can do left-aligned emails and as you can see from my note it's still not possible.

We used some custom coding but this shouldn't need that. Centre aligned emials look like marketing emails, and we want transactional emails

Is this still not possible? I definitely want this. I send all my emails in ActiveCampaign completely left aligned.

Yes this should be really easy to do. It looks too much like a promotional email when it is centred. Can it please be left-alligned?

Is there no way to do this?! It's a huge pain to have that gap. It doesn't look natural.
