Dynamic Countdown Timer

Right now the countdown timer looks like it can only be set for a specific date / time. Would be great to create one for an evergreen launch that can be based on page visit or some sort of contact tag.

You can now add a Dynamic timer under CountDown Timer and make it personalised to user based on when they open or click the email or WhatsApp message.

Shreya Banerjee This isn't really a dynamic timer: the duration is still fixed, you can't use a custom value to set it.

Shreya Banerjee we need Custom Values based timers to coincide with Webinars. Has nothing to do with if they open/click ojn email but instead when the event is occuring which should be set by CV's, especially for multiple time automated webinars.
And we desperately need the Appointment Start Date / Time etc to work with Webinars (Or create new Event based) so we can add to thank you landing pages, etc. This eliminates need to 3rd party tools like AddEvent

Shreya Banerjee Please see Ken and Aaron's comments; this request is not complete and is still a very much needed feature.

Shreya Banerjee we need the new counter and the old counter to accept a custom value similar to the "event start date" step.
Shaun Clark please help with this.

This is available. It's linked to an email sent. So whenever they do the thing you want to trigger it, have that trigger a workflow with the email that has the timer.

The answer to updating the count down timer to be dynamic might be linked to a new feature for HighLevel in so much that you create a "calculating a date" feature. similar to what Plusthis enables users to do. If there was a feature to set dates, (including times and timezones) in a contacts field, we could then have a 4th option for 'count down type" in the count down timer settings... which simply counts down to this preset date.
Happy for anyone to reach out to me for further clarity.

Shreya Banerjee I was really hopig that there would be an update to this during the big reveal at the 2025 LevelUp summit. Is this still under review that a Count Down timer could be set to a DATE and TIME in a custom field that we create for contacts? This would mean that we could sync a contact specific deadline for countdown timers across both web and email. Having the ability to calculate dates in a workflow... and save that date into a contact's record... would be do very useful. Should I start a new idea for this?
I look forward to your reply.

As of now the timer is very basic and offers poor user experience by slow loading. And the trust/anticipation/curiosity we try to build is gone when they see all offers, before hiding.
I've been using timers for years.
"Finale Countdown Timer" by XL plugins
"HurryTimer"
"Thrive Ultimatum"
and "Deadline Funnels"
are the best in the space. Learn from their products.
They all offer evergreen timers, which is the cornerstone of automations and promo campaigns.
Also, let us change the labels for hour/min/sec/, more and more people who are not English speaking are using the platform.

Yes we need to be able to use Custom Values as well. Right now we can seet Event Start Date in workflows using a CV so we need to also be able to use that in timers

One of the most popular features for Countdown timers within 'PlusThis' is when the count down timer can set to count down to the date / time contained within a custom field in a contact's record. This would mean the same count down timer could be used everywhere in emails, in funnels etc. and pull the date and time from the same place. Please consider adding this 4th version of the timer. If it would help to see a specific use case, let me know and I will happily record a video for you.

Yes, this would be a very powerful feature that's currently missing. It would be nice if there was flexibility over what starts the timer for that user. For example, opting in, a link being clicked, a tag being added, etc.
This way each new lead gets their own one-time offer that's truly time limited.
Also, is this the same as this feature request?

Todd Heitner when when when to not even give a ballpark is super unethical
