The new color selector in the Email Builder has removed the ability to have color hex numbers in custom values and to use those in email templates for font color, etc. Please bring this back immediately!

I just discovered the issue with this and I do believe it is technically a bug. I was seeing similar behavior when copying custom values using from the copy button from the Custom Values page. When you use this it will provide me the following value "{{ custom_values.cta_button_color }}" when you then paste this value into the template color fields it doesn't work.
However, if you remove the extra spaces from the placeholder and use "{{custom_values.cta_button_color}}" with no spaces between the field name and the curly braces then the color will display properly. This should be reported as a bug and corrected in the GHL code to strip the spaces out of these fields either in the list or in the form fields or both.

Nevermind, it still doesn't work at the button and background color of sections. Seems like a critical feature

Sales & Marketing My issue was not in the HTML builder. It’s in the plain text template builder. I want to use custom value colors as a font color, and I am not able to do so. I can only choose from brand colors using the new brand board feature.
