Currently, email templates in GoHighLevel can only be used inside workflows or campaigns. There is no way to select and send an existing template as a one-off email directly from an individual contact profile.
This creates unnecessary friction for teams who need to send approved, on-brand messages quickly during 1:1 communication such as support follow-ups, sales clarifications, onboarding confirmations, or exception handling.
Allowing templates to be selected within the contact-level email composer would:
  1. Ensure brand consistency across all outbound emails
  2. Reduce copy/paste errors and time wasted recreating messages
  3. Improve operational efficiency for sales, support, and operations teams
  4. Align with real-world CRM usage where not every message belongs in a workflow
Templates should be reusable assets across all email-sending contexts, including direct contact emails, not just automations or campaigns.
This would be a meaningful UX improvement for teams that rely on GHL as their primary CRM and comms hub.
