Problem
On Custom Dashboards, each Quick Filter pill works independently per module. A dashboard mixing Calls, Appointments, Opportunities, Conversations and Contacts needs a separate "Assigned user" pill for each module, and every one of them has to be set to the same person manually.
This causes three issues:
  • Repetitive:
viewing one team member's performance means selecting the same user 4–5 times.
  • Wastes filter slots:
a single intent ("show me this user") can use up all 5 available Quick Filters.
  • Confusing labels:
multiple pills show the same name ("Assigned user"), and you can only tell which module each belongs to by hovering.
Proposed solution
  1. Linked user filter:
create one Quick Filter (e.g., "Team member") that applies to the user field of every module on the dashboard, so selecting it once updates all widgets.
  2. Default value set by dashboard editors:
let editors preset a Quick Filter value (e.g., "Logged in user") so each staff member automatically sees their own data without any setup.
  3. Clearer pill labels:
show the module on the pill itself (e.g., "Assigned user · Calls") instead of only on hover.
Use cases
  • Managers reviewing a specific rep's calls, appointments and opportunities in one click.
  • Personalized staff dashboards where every user sees only their own numbers from a single shared dashboard.
Today's workaround
Each viewer selects "Logged in user" on every pill once, and the selection saves as their preference. It works, but it takes several steps per user and still uses one filter slot per module.
