We need several improvements to make dashboard metric management faster and more efficient:
  • Keep metric positions fixed when deleting: When a metric is deleted, the metrics below it should not automatically move up and take its place. The dashboard layout should remain unchanged unless the user manually rearranges it.
  • Multi-select metrics: Allow users to select multiple metrics at once and move or rearrange them together.
  • Bulk delete: Add the ability to select and delete multiple metrics at the same time.
  • Keyboard multi-selection: Support standard keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl/Command + Click and Shift + Click to quickly select multiple metrics.
  • Create Custom Metrics without leaving the Dashboard: Allow users to create a Custom Metric directly from the dashboard editor, without being redirected to another page and losing the current dashboard workflow.
  • Improve dashboard editing speed: Overall, the dashboard editing experience should be faster and more responsive, especially when adding, moving, deleting, or managing multiple metrics.
  • Allow more then 50 metrics in a dashboard
These improvements would make dashboard customization significantly faster, especially for users managing large and complex dashboards.
