Custom Calculated Metrics & Dashboard Formulas

GHL Dashboards currently lack the ability to create custom KPIs based on specific contact segment logic. We need a "Custom Metric" builder to stop relying on manual spreadsheet exports for simple reporting.
The Solution: Add a formula builder in the Reporting module that allows us to calculate percentages based on contact counts using Tags, Smart Lists, or AND/OR logic.
Example Use Case: I need to track engagement ratios directly on the dashboard using a formula like this:
(Count of Contacts with Tag: 'active-contacts' * 100) / (Count of Contacts with Tags: 'Tag A' OR 'Tag B' AND 'Tag C')
Why this is needed: Save Time: Stop exporting data to Excel just to run basic calculations.
Real-Time Insights: See actual conversion and engagement rates live on the dashboard.
Better Agency Reporting: Provide clients with sophisticated, customized performance metrics without third-party BI tools.

Hi Mohsin — great news, this is now live! ✅
You can now build tag-based contact metrics directly in the custom metric builder without exporting to spreadsheets. For your engagement ratio use case:
• Metric 1:
Count of Contacts
with filter Tag = active-contacts
• Metric 2:
Count of Contacts
with filter Then combine them using the formula builder to get your ratio in real time on the dashboard.
Note: OR/AND logic across multiple tags in a single filter is something we are continuing to improve. For now, each metric token supports its own filter condition. Thanks for the detailed use case — it directly influenced what we built!

Conditions In Custom Metrics

I want to create a conversion rate and show metric that is based on a certain pipeline but the custom metrics rope in all my pipelines and skews the data.

Conditions could also use access to TAGS on the contact or opportunity parameters related i.e. metrics as a FIRST-TIME suspect moves through the suspect to client opportunities vs as a RETURING-CLIENT moves through the sequence.

Dwight Weigelt — tag-based filtering on contact and opportunity metrics is now live! ✅
You can now add filters like
Tag = First-Time Client
or Tag = Returning-Client
directly on each metric token in the formula builder, making it possible to track and compare how different customer segments move through your sequences on the same dashboard.Hope this unlocks the reporting you were looking for!
