As someone who uses a lot of tags, it would be helpful to have catagories. The catagories allows you to sort your tags into groups. It would also be nice to have 1 place we can go to see all the tags we've added. After so many tags, it's easy to forget which ones you've already added. On one page, you can look for the category it would be under and then double check before making another duplicate or similar tag.

Ideally, we need a way to have multiple tag types/categories/groups.
For example: 'Lead Origin Tags' for where the lead came from (facebook, google, etc);
'Lead Contact Method Tags' for how the lead contacted us (phone call, text, walk-in, etc).
This way, we can view multiple pie charts on how our lead base is doing. There are many other use-cases for a feature like this.

It's really a no-brainer we supposed to have categories, description and folders for tags also, all the suggestions here are so useful and 100% necessary. The heart of the system that I designed is based on tags and the tags are messy they are all over and hard to manage really guys you coming up with all the unnecessary features and updates every single day but ignoring this important part of the system .....

How is this not a thing? Also the ability to CAPITALIZE in tags would be great.

100% having tag categories and the ability to export/import tags for better cleanup would be nice too.

Delete tags would be great and / or a global tag management system and / or possibly enforcing tag standards so that users cannot create random tags. Tag management is a larger database nightmare and makes data inconsistent.
