Private Email Permissions for Teams

Hi HighLevel Team,
As agencies grow and add more employees to their accounts, email privacy becomes a real issue.
Currently, when team members have access to contacts, they can also see all email communications between the account owner and the client. In many cases, those emails include private negotiations, pricing discussions, or sensitive business conversations that shouldn’t necessarily be visible to every employee.
For agencies managing teams, this creates a challenge:
We want our staff to see client activity and communication history, but we don’t always want them to see private or strategic emails between the owner and the client.
Suggested Solution
Add email visibility permissions so account owners can choose:
• Private Emails – Visible only to the sender and authorized users
• Shared Emails – Visible to the team in the contact timeline
• User-Level Permissions – Control which employees can view private conversations
Why This Feature Matters
Protects confidential client negotiations
Allows agencies to scale teams without losing privacy
Gives owners better control over internal information
Makes HighLevel more suitable for larger agencies and sales teams
Many agencies operate with multiple employees handling the same client list, and having granular email privacy controls would significantly improve how teams collaborate.
If this would help your agency as well, please upvote this feature request so the team can prioritize it.
“If you run a team or agency and need better email privacy controls, please comment how you currently handle this.”
Thank you!
