Many people use CRMs to manage calling on lists. Right now, if you're working on a list, you have to open the contact and navigate to the fields, update, and save the contact. That's a lot of clicks.
I'm accustomed to what Infusionsoft/Keap has in their platform. Having served over 400 businesses with their Infusionsoft applications, I can tell you this is a heavily used feature.
