There are CRMs out there such as GroupTrack or GroupLeads that allow you to take the submissions from group access questions and pull them directly into their system so you can add them to your email system.
This would essentially allow us to cut out those 3rd party CRM tools and bring leads directly into GHL.

Additionally, when someone answers a question, such as “what is your current struggle?” And there is a radio option, importing that data and create tags on those answers. This enables us to create workflows customized to the delivery. We currently do this with Grouptrack.

How legal it is for some of the other tools to scrap the info might be an issue. Still, I would like to see the data in GHL.

John Corey: It isn’t actually “scraping” - it’s IMPORTING. The new member provides their email address in the questions when they join a group.

Shannon Lavenia: I agree that the person is inputting their details in response to the three questions presented by Facebook. How is that info moved from Facebook to any third-party app? The FB terms of service do not allow third-party apps to collect info, so I labelled it scrapping.

John Corey: My understanding is it’s through the FB API in the developers access - there’s quite a few companies that have the ability and Facebook allows the questions to provide the data.

Shannon Lavenia: I agree FB facilitates the questions. The transfer of the data outside of Facebook is what causes problems. One of the firms mentioned in the original question was pretending to be a live user and harvesting the data outside of what FB T&Cs allow. I spoke directly with the developer. I am a software engineer, so I was helping the vendor find a bug.
You can spot the issue when a vendor advises not to send or respond too quickly. They want you to throttle the responses so FB does not detect there is software logging in as a pretend user.
If you are suing various tools outside of HL, be careful.
