"Unread" messages not marking as read when opened

Messages on the "Unread" tab don't mark themselves as read when they are opened. They are only marked as read when you reply to the lead, or when you manually mark it as read.
Instead, the chat should be automatically marked as read as soon as you view it, which saves time and is a feature in every other messaging app.

Some of use prefer to manually mark messages as "read" but maybe instead have a Setting that allows users to automatically mark messages as read when clicked on.
