⚠ DISABLE sending message with ENTER key on Keyboard

How do I disable the option to that automatically sends a message when I hit enter on my keyboard?
Because this is a big problem for me and my clients and it's really inconvenient since we mostly use a computer to communicate with customers so whenever we hit the enter key to start a new line in ends up sending the message.
And, as you can imagine, a lot of message get sent by mistake and only causes problems. I would love to have a solution where we can turn this setting off.
Thanks,

This is something my clients are requesting. Can we make this a priority? Thanks so much!!! We appreciate you!

Suggestion:
We’ve received feedback from users—particularly from professionals that the current setup where pressing Enter sends the message can lead to accidental message sends before they're ready. This behavior is not consistent with most messaging platforms where Enter adds a new line, and a Send button or shortcut is used to actually send the message.
To improve usability and reduce errors in customer communication, we strongly recommend allowing users to:
Use Enter to create a new line
This small but powerful tweak would create a more familiar and user-friendly experience—especially for those drafting professional or multi-line messages. Thank you!

It is possible to make mistakes and press Enter before the message is ready to be sent. Facebook messenger has this option and it is very useful. Thanks

How has this not been resolved by the GHL team for over a year and a half?

Same issue here. We've had so many half-finished messages get sent accidentally. The shift+enter workaround helps but having it as a toggle would save us daily headaches.

Eddy CEO WhatSnap.ai - Connect YOUR phone to GHL I don't see why they don't see it as an incovenient, annoying issue

Please fix this asap. We are professionals and if GHL wants to server professionals, enter should go to the next line break, and click send to send or shift enter to send.

Walt Fleitz Still wondering if they're even seeing these comments/feedbacks 🤔. I guess we need more people commenting and upvoting

For the meantime, you can do Shift+Enter to line break. But I know this should be a togglable feature.

What's causing the delay in implementing this? This is a major black eye for HighLevel.
There is no "right" answer here... there's only how people behave. Keep sending a message using the Enter key as the default (I don't care what the default is), but please, for the sake of everything that is holy in heaven, make how to send a message a configurable option... pressings the Enter key, or clicking the Send button.
Stop being cheeky Carlos and get it done already!
And while you are about it how about implementing the Enter, Shift+Enter and Ctrl+Enter keys behavior consistently in both Email and SMS messages. When moving at the speed of business stumbling over this badly implemented UI is embarrassing and so unnecessary.

Brad Codd We need more people like you voice their opinion and displeasure to get their attention. Don't you think?

This should definitely be optional because I like being able to send messages with the enter key; it's the norm in WhatsApp Web, Facebook Messenger, etc.

Please...for the love of all technology...fix this.
