It would be nice to have GIF's as an option when sending SMS to contacts. Both on Desktop and Mobile app. Very similar to #images when texting from an iphone.

We can already attach videos/GIFs from conversations page which goes through as MMS. MMS is allowed upto 5MB & in selected countries by the carriers
Another way is to use RCS Sender which we recently launched in closed beta which allows you to send Rich messages like whatsapp(with media, buttons, quick replies etc). RCS allows you to send media upto 15MB & works in the native messaging app(like SMS).

Shreyas Gupta hello, yes I'm aware that you can drag and drop or attach a GIF to the message composer, but if we can have an icon next to the emojis that has a library of GIF's to choose from, that would be amazing!

Be able to send a pre-recorded video message via text. This would add to clients responding as many people are wary of clicking links especially in SMS messages. I like that you can currently send previously taken photos and you can record a video to send but having the ability to send a pre-recorded video directly would be hugely beneficial.

Our clients expect this constantly since they're used to texting GIFs from their phones. The size limits make it tricky though, most GIFs they want to send are way over what carriers accept.

The size restrictions are painful though. Most GIFs clients want to use are way too big and get rejected or compressed to death.

Apparently you can send via text as long as it is very small, only a few kb. We managed with 31kb.

Game changer! Having the ability to have a video welcome send via text in an automated workflow would be massive. Having to send one off videos to every lead is tiresome and completely unnecessary. Creating the video once and putting into a campaign would open up tons of possibilities.
