An "AI Capture Information" action like exists in the flow builder that we can use in our regular Automation workflows would be very useful.

Next Levelbros this is an Agentic node so it will be native to conversation ai . It is compatible as per conversation ai
But in workflow you can use ChatGPT node and then update the response in a contact field

Abhishek Kumar Yes I know that I can do this as you describe, but a dedicated action for capturing information is more user friendly and manageable.

Next Levelbros can you use conversation ai for your use case ?

Abhishek Kumar Yeah I gave up on using the AI Conversation action in regular automation workflows and am now trying to see if I can make it work using a Conversation AI bot. I did not want an account wide AI agent responding to leads, just a specific scenario, but support helped me find a way to manage that, so hopefully this can work. I have not gotten it working yet, but it's in progress.

Next Levelbros the conversation ai outside .
Ai agent section
That can also reply in specific scenario
You need to create a bot there and attach the bot in workflow using update conversation ai bot and status.
Can you tell me what is the scenario
I will send a loom video this can help as a reference.

Abhishek Kumar Thanks for the link, will check that out now. The Scenario is:
Someone fills out an instant form with just name, email, and phone. After that, I want the bot to:
• Ask all my qualifying questions
• Save the answers into custom fields
• Handle off-topic questions naturally, but just steer them back (“Let’s get this info first and I’ll get back to you”)
The problem I am dealing with right now is triggering the bot to start asking the qualifying questions. Right now I send two outgoing SMS messages first (confirm their name, then tell them I’ll ask questions), and only after that I want the bot to take over. But the bot only starts when it gets an incoming message, not after my outgoing messages.
It gets more complicated because leads can also come in through reactivation workflows, so the entry point into the conversation isn’t always the same.
So I’m stuck trying to find a clean way to reliably trigger the bot takeover in all these cases.

Next Levelbros Hey this is possible
You need to use the update conversation ai bot and status action.
keep the primary bot off and create a non primary bot.
and activate that bot in workflow after sending the outgoing message.
if you want. help schedule a call here speakwith.us/abhishekkumar
