Problem
There is no way to tell the AI Agent which dates the business is closed. On those dates, the business cannot take service orders, but the AI has no built-in way to know that.
Current workaround
We list every closed date in the knowledge base and instruct the AI to check that list before accepting a service request. If the requested date is on the list, the AI is told to inform the customer that the business is closed that day.
Why the workaround falls short
  • The list has to be written and updated by hand for every AI Agent and every client, and it grows each year.
  • It depends on the AI following a prompt instruction, so there is no guarantee the check happens every time.
  • Date lists in a KB are easy to leave outdated.
Requested feature
  • Business Closure Dates setting (priority): a dedicated section where users add closure dates or date ranges, each with an optional reason (e.g. “Chinese New Year”) and an optional custom message, which the Conversation AI can refer to.
  • Built-in check: before accepting a booking or service request, the AI automatically checks the requested date against this list, without relying on prompt instructions.
Expected behaviour
If a customer requests a service on a closed date, the AI tells them the business is closed that day, gives the reason if one was set, and offers the next available date. Requests on other dates proceed as normal.
