Spanish businesses are about to face a HUGE compliance issue, and we need your help to stay on the platform.
Starting January 1, 2026 (for companies) and July 1, 2026 (for freelancers), ALL Spanish businesses will be legally required to use certified invoicing software that complies with Spain's new "Verifactu" system. This isn't optional - it's the law.
What is Verifactu?
Think of it as Spain's answer to preventing tax fraud. Every invoice needs to:
  • Have a special QR code that customers can verify on the tax authority website
  • Be sent to the Spanish tax authority (AEAT) in real-time
  • Include a digital fingerprint system that prevents tampering
  • Follow very specific XML formats
