I hate to say it, but following up with leads in GHL is painful. Even just after testing for a few days, our own team has decided to not use GHL because of this. There no way to filter leads making it very difficult to know who you need to follow up with and who you don't.Tag filtering and the ability to create filtered lists (or smart lists) is a requirement for proper lead follow up. Without this, its impossible to keep track of leads, who needs follow ups on what days. Adding tag filtering and filtered lists would allow clients use GHL and effectively nurture & follow up with leads.Without this feature, GHL is not a CRM that can be recommended to any of our clients. We work the Real Estate niche, and many of clients handle 300 to 500 leads per month. After 6 months, clients can easily have an active list of over 1000 leads. Without being able to sort leads based on tags & create lists, it becomes a management nightmare and impossible to follow up properly. I feel that with this feature, GLH could compete with products like Liondesk, Followup Boss and dozens of other basic RE CRM system. Without however, I can't see how clients could ever utilize GHL effectively as a CRM. Hope to see this in a future release. NOTE: Followup Boss probably has one the best tag filtering list capabilities that we've used. Leads are moved around in smart lists based on action or tags that can be customized. For instance, you can have a list based on the last time you communicated with a lead + tag. This moves leads automatically from one list to another based on activities on that lead. Might be worth taking a peak for some ideas.

This is possible through smart lists. Book a call at https://speakwith.us/puru for feedback or if you face any issues.

Core Platform: I'm confused. I see that you can operate out of smart lists in Contacts. But I don't see how you can do that from Opportunities. When I click the filter button on Opportunities I only see fields on the Opportunity. On the other hand, if I were to work out of the smart list in Contacts, it would take me many clicks to drill down to the related opportunity and change the pipeline stage, all of which would have been a single click and drag from Opportunities. I don't see how having the smart lists functionality on the Contacts page helps us from the perspective of the Opportunity/Pipeline view.

I have a similar issue with Contact - There should be a way to separate all lists. Different leads in different Lists of contact. NOT all of them together.

Aristides Rodriguez: Can you please find a suitable slot in my calendar to help me understand the current limitations and try to solve this for your use case. https://speakwith.us/puru

I also want to add my request to do this and have this screenshot for a suggestion: https://www.screencast.com/t/pd8hFQY9Vtwp
One of my clients (in the Auto Industry) is saying this is the single biggest complaint with GHL as other CRMs he has used has this feature.

We would love to have a custom field of last date connected that we can then sort by in a Pipeline. That custom field could actually be anything. The ability to filter by a custom field would be amazing in Opportunities

You can do this. They're called smart lists, I use them all the time. Plus you can use pipelines and workflows to track follow-up.

I'm surprised this doesnt have more votes! Being able to filter by tags and create a list view off that is super essential to staying more organied with follow up
