There should be a permission setting to allow Standard Users the ability to delete and merge their own contacts. We are working with clients with hundreds of users. It will be an administrative headache to have to ask admins to do this everytime there's a mistake or duplicate created in a Users account. This is standard permission sets in most CRMs. Please make this update.
