Search for Duplicates and Merge from Contacts Screen

Right now merging is only available as a bulk action from the smart lists screen. Allow us from a specific contact to click Merge and either auto search for, or allow us to manually search for potential duplicates and select them from this contact screen like other CRM systems do

I would like to restrict all non-admin users from being able to delete any of the opportunities / contacts in the system. Only Allowing merging of duplicate contacts, and requiring a final win or loss scenario for the lead through the lifecycle.

I need an admin to be able to display only his data and not all records by default. Is this possible? It's not possible to choose as a user

Currently, to be able to merge contacts a user MUST be 1) admin 2) have loads of permissions.
My client has multiple staff who are customer support agents and have to merge contacts coming in through multiple paths. They shouldn't have to be admins as they are not okay to see all of the company's financials, reports as well as change any important settings.
Please fix this so regular users can merge contacts without further permissions.

I agree! Many of my clients would save a ton of time if this option was available more easily to them
