At this time, you cannot search custom fields in the contacts section. This is very helpful if you create an alt phone field.

Instead of only being able to quick search in the mobile app for name, email and phone, the ability to search for custom fields would be extremely beneficial for clients.

The fact that the quick search function in the CRM can only search by contact name, email, business name, tag, or phone number is incredibly limiting.
My clients use my GHL white label as a CRM for real estate and the fact that they aren't able to quickly search for property addresses that they might have in custom fields is greatly hindering their efficiency.
I'm hoping this won't be a deal breaker for them, but to quickly search for any data within a CRM is a rather basic feature that all other CRM competitor would have the ability to do.
I can't imagine expanding the capabilities of the current "Quick Search" tool in the Contacts tab would require that much time or effort to improve, and it would significantly improve user experience.

Yes, i need to be able to filter and sort by custom fields in the opportunity view. Opportunities by default do not list city/state so i had to add them custom. Unfortunately they do not allow for sort/filter like native options

Looks like it still doesn't work in quick search only in the filter, is this true?

agree- we use a custom field to store an email 2- and we need to be able to do a quick search for that custom field since we do cc this custom field on our workflow emails

This is just PAETIALLY implemmented with just 6 searchable fields per object which is frankly ridiculous. GHL, get on board with the real world: Every major CRM has GLOBAL search functions of ALL fields, not just a handful per object!

Global search function should really be for all fields, not just custom fields but also standard fields such as notes, etc. This is a MAJOR shortcoming and needs to be fixed ASAP.
