Prevent Instagram from Overwriting Contact Names

Currently, HighLevel automatically replaces the contact’s existing first and last name with their Instagram username. This creates significant issues in maintaining accurate and professional contact records.
Many of our contacts already exist in the CRM with their real names from forms, bookings, or previous conversations. Overwriting names with Instagram handles (often unprofessional or unclear) disrupts our database integrity. It creates confusion for follow-ups, automation, and personalized communication. It requires manual correction, which becomes time-consuming at scale.
Please add a setting that allows users to: 1) Disable automatic overwriting of contact names from Instagram usernames, OR 2) Only populate the username if the contact name fields are empty
As a business owner managing leads across multiple channels (forms, bookings, social media), I need consistent and accurate contact data. Instagram should enhance the contact record, not overwrite verified information.
This change would significantly improve CRM reliability and reduce manual cleanup for many users relying on Instagram for lead generation.
