Option to NOT create contact on first inbound call

When a call comes in, HL automatically creates a contact record for it. This leads to a slew of spammy contacts that just fill the contact list...
OR, and worse, it causes a slowdown when staff tries to log a new client when they answer a call (if 'no duplicate contacts' is checked).
There should be an option in Settings to not create a new contact on the call. There shouldn't need to be a workflow, it should just be an option.

We did a smart list with a filter that if there is nothing in "first name", etc.
Still...I agree with this idea.

Agreed. We did find a workaround from someone in the FB group where we made a workflow that waits a couple days and if that contact first name and email are blank then it deleted the contact.

Jeremy Maher we came up with the same solution. But it's a crazy work around that has to be done.
I think a simple toggle setting if you want it or now should be a perfect solution.

That or from platforms like messenger when there isn't any other information other than the name. Having just a name is pretty useless unless we only message that person through messenger.

If they leave a voicemail then create a contact but if they just hang up then do not add.
