We use all fields in our lead contact details... it's cumbersome having to navigate back and forth between tabs just to see relevant details during conversations, location details, then custom field details... Leave the Tabs as shortcuts to jump to each contact record details section, but have all fields display in a single one-page scrolling tab. You could lazy load the next fields/page only if user needs to scroll on down to next fields or just load it all in one view rather than having to keep clicking around so many tabs.
