I would like to propose an enhancement to the Notes feature within the CRM to improve internal team collaboration and accountability. Specifically, I am requesting the ability to tag other users in a note, trigger a notification for them, and track who has viewed the note.
Proposed Features:
User Tagging (@mentions): Allow users to type @ within a note to bring up a dropdown of active users in the sub-account. Selecting a user will tag them in the note.
Direct Notifications: When a user is tagged, it should trigger an in-app notification (and potentially an email/push notification based on user preferences) directing them straight to the contact's note.
"Seen By" Read Receipts: Similar to the UI in Monday.com, it would be incredibly valuable to have a view or counter on the note indicating how many people (and specifically who) have seen it. For example, an eye icon at the bottom of the note that says "Seen by 2" and shows the names when hovered over or clicked.
The Problem It Solves:
Currently, when a team member leaves a crucial note on a contact record that another team member needs to see, they have to manually copy the contact link and ping them externally (via Slack, WhatsApp, or email). Furthermore, the sender has no way of knowing if the recipient actually opened and read the note within GoHighLevel.
Why this adds value to GoHighLevel:
Keeps communication inside GHL: Reduces reliance on third-party messaging apps for internal CRM updates.
Increases Accountability: The "Seen By" tracker ensures that team members can't claim they "didn't see" an important update regarding a lead or client.
Streamlines Workflows: Sales reps, account managers, and support agents can seamlessly hand off tasks and context without leaving the platform.
Thank you for considering this feature! I believe it would be a massive quality-of-life upgrade for teams working collaboratively inside GoHighLevel.
