When importing contacts we can only search for duplicates and add to a contact based on the phone number and email. This is severly crippling. If we could search for duplicates based on other fields like Address or even a custom field that would be great.

I have seen this in other systems not nearly as advanced as GHL is so lets get this voted up people. We're behind!!!!

Were finding when were dealing with a ton of leads, Some different people have the same number but different people. When we run into the issue, We quickly found it could be solved if we had the option to filter through Contact IDs rather than having only two options

Having the limits on Phone or Email to be the dedupe values or unique key values to find and dedupe records on, creates challenges when you are creating apps for instance that are pulling data from systems like a POS. Sometimes on a POS the client does not give their phone or email yet their name or address comes over. Or sometimes all we have is the name and custom transaction data.

What we would like to be able to do is add a Custom Field that can be indicated as a Unique Key Field. So theoretically we could tell the Sub Account which fields to prioritize for Unique Key, so if we are pushing data in and we dont have phone or email, we can push a unique customer id for instance and that can be a valid key.
