Associate multiple companies to a contact

I'd like to associate multiple companies to a single contact. For example: In medical systems one person can be responsible for maintenance at multiple sites. This person would need to be notified of any service at any of the sites.

I really need the ability to have 1 single contact for multiple companies. This is a MUST HAVE for me to use the system - I can't figure out any other way to do this, and this makes the most sense from a few other ways that we have tried - I have single contacts that own multiple businesses and the work around that we have seen, is not as clean and seems clumsy.
