Assign Followers Automatically

I just spoke with Marty we've discussed how good it would be if we could assign a follower automatically to a contact and not manually.
That would be good for example when a lead go to a stage of closing a sale, the setter of the appointment could see what the salesperson is talking to the lead and check the outcome...
I know this Followers feature is only on the labs, but it would be great to see it going live with the automation working!

What would be great is that if the contact owner is still the same person as before but the customer books an appointment through round robin calndars the owner stays the same - the appointment user will be added as the follower and we can send a notification to the follower (appointment user).

Please Make sure to include ability to also add followers to the opportunities and not just contact. Or have a setting that permanently sets followers of contact to followers of opportunity as well.

Trever Andrews Yes please! this is so important, it doesn't make any sense if the follower of a contact can't see the opportunity and is a pain to do it manually when dealing with a big bulk of opts
