The ability to have custom fields related to a company object and the ability to put the company through a workflow would be amazing!

What would be great under this would be to be able to attach multiple objects to one contact via forms or surveys.
Currently I have found a way to associate contacts with the objects one at a time but after creating duplicate contacts the merge process usually cancels one of the objects already associated. If there was a seamless connection in forms or survey this would alleviate some of those issues.
Case: I have a pet grooming client who has customers with up to 5 dogs. I can create a survey that asks how many dogs do you have and the drop down will initiate the next sequence based on the number of dogs. Each dog will have to have their own name, breed, hair length, vaccine records, gender, birth date and potentially temperment.

Great new feature but found a few issue with using this with the API
Issues Identified:
The following field types—single select, multiselect, radio, and text box list—do not return picklistOptions as expected so we are unable to dynamically populate these options in our application. These are all returned as TEXT type fields no matter the type of field it actually is.
When creating or updating a business with custom fields included in the API request, the business custom fields do not appear in the UI. However, they remains retrievable via the API.
Unlike contact, opportunity, or "all" models, custom fields cannot be searched using the business model filter

We are glad to inform that you can now create custom fields under Companies.
This feature is currently live on Labs - do test this out and share your feedback with us. : https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/changelog/companies-module-major-release
Workflows for Companies is the next item that the team has already started working on.
We should be out with the same by the end of this quarter.

Pallavi Kothari thanks for this update - as I stated in my feedback email that I sent last week and below - this is a great start but not really at the level we need Company Objects to be to make it truly functional - appreciate this is a lot of work but judging from this thread and the number of people requesting it - you can see what a game changer it will be for GHL when this is right :) That is what we all want :)

Pallavi Kothari Thank you - as others have mentioned this is a big step in the right direction but not quite there yet. Our goal is to be able to work mainly on "Companies" instead of "Contacts" - B2B sales organizations work based on companies. I.e. tag companies, make lists of companies, make notes easily on companies, send emails to "finance contact" or "sales contact" or such under a list of companies, attach opportunities to companies, click "next" and go to the next company and work on that instead of contacts, etc.
Happy to share feedback if you're interested in a meeting about it!

I totally agree with all the comments on here, I have a major client who has been waiting for this feature and I had hoped the update rolled out in Labs would address it - but all it did was allow custom fields to be added to a slide in panel under the “Company”tab.
This is a basic functionality in all other CRM’s and if we get this right it will open up so many opportunities, the four areas I have spoken to Shaun and Pallavi about are:
Custom Fields to show under the Contact / Company tab - it still seems to be locked here and linked to the Company Automation set up - surely if we can add a Custom Field to the Custom Object they should show on the left hand side - exactly the same as the do on a Contact record? And sorted in folders etc.
Company Level Activity Feed - again - just the same as in a Contact record - where we can track all conversations with a Contact - all conversations and activity with a Company needs to be in place - as do many people are stating on this thread - in B2B you are talking to multiple contacts in a company and so having one place to see all of these is critical and then the ability to click on a conversation to take you through to Contact level.
Company Associations - This seems to have disappeared from the Contact / Company record - There should be an easy way to see every contact associated with a company? It is possible going in to the COmpany by searching the company name and then going in through "Associations" - so the data is there - it is just not that obvious or on the Company record if you go in from a Contact.
Company Custom Fields in Forms - Finally we tried adding some of the custom fields from the Company Object into forms and the option does not appear - you can still only choose between Contact or Opportunity fields.
Really need this sorting to blow up in the B2B space - keep upvoting and let’s see it happen in Q1 :)

Would love to have an update on this... I have a Med supply subaccount that needs to be able to keep account and doctor info separate - with doctor info being in the company object.

This is so important. We sell memberships to companies and these companies have multiple contacts connected/associated to them. This would really help us manage our memberships better.

Critical - and following! Would love an ETA if there is one

This would be critical in the way we send out emails - so we don't send out marketing emails to deals being actively worked. Being able to create lists and workflows based on custom company object fields would allow for so much more ways to work with thee contacts.

Would be wonderful if there could be self-associations as well so we can have separate rows for regional/divisional offices that link to a head office. Or brands that link to a group.

Please make sure that COMPANIES (or a single contact within a single Company) get synced to QuickBooks, like HubSpot can: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnnpdsW66D8
