UI / web app update + other improvements
in progress

Several major upgrades the communities feature can use:
Merge communities with memberships…students should have one domain they go to like learn.domain.com and be able to access both support groups in the communities and courses that they have access to in the memberships web app.
That being said, the mobile UI is really not good for the communities feature for viewing and posting in groups or even accessing various different buttons that are hidden.
Restricted access. At the moment, just about anyone can sign up for communities with a name, email, and password…no need for payment or even to verify that they have a membership with the school already. Would be great to have a restricted group setting where only people who’ve been granted certain offers can access (or other criteria like certain tags). There needs to be a boundary between people who are part of the school and not.

I really believe communities should be a real priority if GHL wants to truly be omnipresent in the online marketing space. The other features are really strong, but communities & memberships are really lacking on features like this.

Following up on this. Do we have an idea when this might come out. I currently use GroupApp for my community and courses because HighLevels UI and feature set isn't as well put together as GroupApp. I would like to eventually move all things to HighLevel but still waiting to see how things come together in HL.

I agree wholeheartedly with this! It is SO CONFUSING that we have both a membership area and a community area! A single domain, a single UI, single set of triggers and automations would be wildy appreciated. We use this site for online learning, and also as a resource download center for our trainers. It's been a nightmare trying to figure out who can do what in a community or a membership area, why are they different domains, which one shows progress, how our coaches (who lead the courses) get access and where. Unifying all of this would make our life so much better... and I'd assume the developers would love it not having to have code for all these different sections too!

Agree with all. In addition, while you can go from Communities to Memberships (via the Courses button in the upper right), once you're in Memberships, you can't get back to communities. It's a one-way road. Need better integration of Communities and Memberships.

Yes, we definitely need workflow actions and triggers, so we can automate the process of adding people to specific communities, based on a course, membership, or product they've purchased from us.

agreed with merging the community and membership login. It is SO confusing. AND, the automation only will send out a login to the membership side but NOT to the community side, which I want to drive users to.
Additionally, I would love to request the ability to tie a FORM to the sign-up experience. This would help with what Thibault is saying that people can bypass memberships. This would make it similar to the calendar registration process, and I can then tie automations on whether or not they get access.
