Introduce a notification system for communities

It would be great if members can decide how many and when to receive emails/ sms or notification popups when there is activity in the community? It is one of the most difficult tasks to keep members engaged as GHL communities are still rather new.
Therefore, suitable notification systems with adaptable functionalities would be great and should be a priority so that we can easily bring members into the community and keep them engaged. They need to learn to come back to the platform regularly and I believe notifications are a great way to support that behaviour.
When I create a desktop item on my phone with the community, can it show notifications of activity?

Hi Lisa. We are working on improving our notifications setup. We are introducing new set of notifications while also sanitising the older ones.
Also, we have introduced new notification settings to enable the members to control the notification settings.

Vaibhav Gupta That's great! There should be a notification when people are contacted via chat inside the communities. That would be really great. Like, when I write a chat message to someone they should receive an sms or email that they were contacted via chat.
