GoHighLevel for Clinics: Managing Multiple Patients with a Single Phone Number

Hi everyone,
We are using GoHighLevel for a healthcare use case. One challenge we’re facing is that multiple patients belong to the same family and share a single phone number, but GHL allows only one contact per phone number.
How are you managing multiple patient records under one phone number in GHL?
Are you using custom objects, custom fields, or any other recommended approach?
Would appreciate insights or best practices from anyone who has implemented this.

This is a common GHL limitation in healthcare. The best practice is usually to keep one primary contact per phone number (the household) and then manage individual patients using custom objects or custom fields (e.g., Patient Name, DOB, Relationship). This keeps conversations clean while still tracking each patient properly.
For more complex setups (separate opportunities, workflows, and reminders per patient), custom objects + workflows tend to scale best.
If the issue persists or you want to structure this cleanly without breaking automation, happy to walk you through a setup that works in real use cases.
