I would like to see a setting for channels to allow admins do designate if members are automatically added to that channel by default or not. Currently whenever we create a new public channel every member of the group is automatically dumped into the channel even if the member doesn't want to be in there.

In addition I would like the ability to set the write options for channels. ie Admin only, Admin & Moderators, All members.

Private channels should also have the option to be hidden or not hidden. If a channel is private but not hidden then members should have a way to request access.
