I would like the option to disable private chats in the community. Could this be optional please! I cannot use the communities feature without it!

One to One Chat for Community Members Can be Turned off by Admin

The new feature where anyone in the community can one to one message anyone in the community needs to be able to be turned off. I understand that some businesses would want people to have thier members do private chat to each other, however it doesnt work with my business. I see that this is a new feature for all communities. Could this be optional please! I cannot use the communities feature without it! Thank you
Note: right now I can select to turn off the ability for the members to message me (the admin) but they can message each other anytime and send direct notifications to their phones including photos, videos, etc. Please give us the option to stop this thank you. My community is for children.

I need to be able to turn off chat in certain groups. I don't want all groups in my space to allow 1 to 1 chat.

Months later and still zero progress on this safety feature. It’s great to know that GHL prioritise new features over safety improvements. Definitely a flawed approach to platform development. Makes sense for feature request but gapping holes in the platform are left unresponded and addressed.

Please ! ... Even better if we can chose who (role) can use the chat with who, or where... exemple: a member chat with a course author ou community admin can be ok, but not members with each other.

Nathan Romano Assa I understand that you can personally disable chats coming to you. But once clients join the community anyone in the community can private chat with anyone else in the community. To turn it off you would need to have everyone in the community go in and turn off their own chats.

Nathan Romano Assa on the browser yes, not on the mobile app though correct? Still, it's not a solution to CSS code everything GHL drops the ball on, especially with safety and security concerns like this.

Great post, again has been raised for months now on prior posts. GHL don’t seem to understand the safety implications with this lack of control.
As a note, we had our team add some css code to mask the chat button, only works on web not mobile, due to the lack of action from GHL on this critical issue.

I’ve raised this on some other threads as it’s a critical issue for my business also. So far has not been addressed. Very much a safety and security concern.

This presents a massive safety issue for communities and encourages scammers and more to target vulnerable people. When is this issue being addressed by the team at GHL? Support engagement yields no progress, program/product managers hide and won’t engage. It’s pretty disappointing from a new customer perspective.

In particular, lock Chat for new members. Unlock at a level specified by the admin in settings (or on manual override by the Admin). A workflow action so we can unlock the Chat after completing certain portion of the Courses would be great.
