Environment: GoHighLevel Client Portal on a custom domain, iPhone / Safari, logged in as a portal member.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
  1. Open the Client Portal on a phone.
  2. Tap the chat bubble icon in the top navigation. The Chat panel opens.
  3. Look for a way to close it. There is no X or close control. The only control is a back chevron, and tapping it does nothing.
  4. Tap the chat bubble icon again.
EXPECTED
The chat icon toggles, so a second tap closes the panel. Or the panel has a working close control.
ACTUAL
Step 3 leaves the member with no way out of Chat. Step 4 appends a second, complete copy of the Chat panel below the first: its own header, its own All / Unread filter, its own notification bell with its own unread badge, its own conversation list. A third tap does not add a third copy, so it stops at two. The only way out is to reload the page or leave the portal entirely.
IMPACT
This is what clients see, not just admins. On a phone the panel fills the screen, so a member who taps the chat icon is stuck in Chat with no obvious way back to their course content, and the natural instinct of tapping the icon again makes it worse instead of better. For a program where the portal is the delivery mechanism, that is a dead end in the middle of the member experience.
SUGGESTED FIX
Make the chat icon a toggle, fix the back chevron, and add a visible close control to the panel header. At minimum, prevent a second instance from mounting while one is already open.
