🧭 Overview
Service businesses often sell retail products as part of the same visit. You can now add retail products to a service appointment from the in-app appointment modal. Services, products, payment, and inventory then sit in one place, with a single total that reflects everything the customer is buying.
šŸš€ What's New?
āœ… Add products when you book or edit an appointment
Pick a product or variant from your catalog in the appointment modal, when creating an appointment or editing an existing one. There's no need to cancel or recreate anything.
āœ… Set quantity and price per product
You can add multiple units of the same product as needed, and you can override its unit price for that appointment, while ensuring that the catalog price never changes.
āœ… One total, one payment view
Products appear alongside services in the appointment details and in the Payments tab. If you change products on an appointment that already has payments, the payment status shows whether more payment is due or a refund is owed.
āœ… Inventory that keeps itself up to date
For products with inventory tracking, stock goes down when you add a product and comes back when you remove it or lower the quantity. If there isn't enough stock, you see a clear error. Products set to "Continue selling when out of stock" are respected, and products without tracking are unaffected.
🧩 How to Use It
  1. Open the service appointment modal (new or existing) and click on
    + Add product
    .
  2. Select the product, then adjust the quantity or price if needed. The total updates as you go.
  3. Save, and review the full breakdown in the Payments tab.
Note:
  • The products are created and managed under Payments > Products and not directly under Services
  • Retail products can only be added to appointments via in-app. They aren't available on the customer booking page.
šŸŽÆ Why This Matters
  • Staff can sell services and products in one visit, without a separate product order.
  • The appointment total and payment status reflect the full customer transaction.
  • Inventory stays accurate without manual updates when products are sold through appointments.
  • Past appointments always show exactly what was sold, even if the catalog changes later.
