Reselling Add-Ons with SaaS Plans
The option to resell add-on products with SaaS plans is now available inside the SaaS Configurator itself. This comes with support for all the reselling products now as compared to only Wordpress and Yext earlier.
Why is it important?
- Earlier the configuration to include Wordpress and Yext as part of SaaS plans used to come under the reselling page at the agency level. This had a couple of limitations: (1) The option was not easily discoverable, leading to lesser adoption on this feature. (2) The option was limited to bundle the products with SaaS plans only in the ‘Default’ category. All other categories were not supported.
- Solving for the above 2 by bringing the setting inside SaaS configurator should make it easier to resell add-ons across all customer segments.
- Another limitation was that the bundling with SaaS plans was only available for Wordpress and Yext, while customers were asking about other products as well, most notably WhatsApp. With this release, we have extended the support to all reselling products.
- A scalable solution was required to quickly extend the support to new reselling products that are launched in the future. With this release, we’ve solved for that as well.
How it works?
- Agency configures reselling apps to be included with a SaaS plan.
- When a sale happens for the SaaS plan, the client is automatically subscribed to the required subscriptions for the products that are configured to be in the SaaS bundle.
- The charges for the add-ons will only be charged to the agency and not to the end customer, so the agency needs to make sure to include their markup in SaaS plan's price itself.
Note
Any changes in the bundle configurations will only be applicable to the sub-accounts created with respective SaaS plans in the future, and do not impact existing sub-accounts.
