🧭 Overview
Rentals now supports Add-ons — optional extras that customers or admins can attach to a booking, such as a pet fee, GPS unit, guided tour, or equipment insurance. Admins can build a global catalog of reusable add-ons, attach them to listings, and configure flexible pricing with quantity controls, images, and tax support. Customers see add-ons in a dedicated section of the booking widget, can select quantities, and watch their total update in real time — with every selected add-on appearing transparently as a line item on their invoice.
šŸš€ What's New?
āœ… Global Add-on Catalog
Admins can now create reusable Add-on items from
Calendars → Calendar Settings → Rentals → Add-ons
. Each add-on includes a name, description, image, pricing configuration, max quantity, and tax settings — and can be attached to as many listings as needed without being recreated each time.
āœ… Flexible Pricing Options
Add-ons support
Flat amount
(fixed charge) or
Percentage
(of base rental subtotal) pricing. Flat add-ons can be further configured as Per booking (one fixed charge) or Per booking unit (charged per hour, day, week, or month matching the listing's booking unit). Max quantity is a flat cap per booking — set how many of each add-on a customer can select.
āœ… Listing-Level Attachment & Editing
Add-ons can be attached to listings directly from the global catalog — ideal for attaching one add-on across multiple listings at once — or from the
Add-ons
tab within each individual listing. Add-on settings can be edited at listing level, with changes applying globally across all listings sharing that add-on.
āœ… Customer-Facing Booking Widget
After selecting dates, customers see a dedicated Add-ons section with image cards, names, descriptions, prices, and quantity selectors. Selecting or removing an add-on updates the total price dynamically. Add-ons marked Hide from booking page are not shown to customers but can still be added by admins.
āœ… Tax Support
Taxes can be independently configured per add-on and are shown as a separate line — keeping amounts transparent and tax reporting accurate.

šŸŽÆ Why This Matters
  • Rental businesses can now upsell optional extras natively — eliminating workarounds like duplicate listings, manual invoicing, or external tools just to offer a pet fee or GPS unit.
  • Real-time price updates in the booking widget give customers full visibility before confirming, improving trust and reducing post-booking disputes.
  • A global catalog with listing-level attachment means operators manage add-ons in one place, not inside every listing individually.
  • Full tax and invoice support ensures add-on charges are handled correctly end-to-end — from widget to receipt.
  • This closes a top-requested feature from users and brings Rentals in line with industry-standard booking platforms.
