Pause Workflows on Certain Dates
What's New?
We’re excited to announce one of the most requested features from the IdeasBoard—Pause Workflows on selected dates..!!
- You can now pause specific workflows or all workflows within a chosen date range.
- Additionally, you can mark date ranges as “Annually”, meaning the same workflows will pause on these dates each year automatically.
How it Works
A new section called Pause Workflow has been added to the Global Workflow Settings:
- User can add upto 15 date ranges and select multiple or all workflows to pause.
- The workflows that are paused will work as same when they are in a "Draft" state.
- You can view the pause details directly within each individual workflow’s builder settings for easy tracking.
How to use?
- Navigate to Global Workflow Settings.
- Select the "Start Date" and "End Date".
- Select the workflows from the list of workflows. You can select "All" or "Individual workflows".
- You can tick the "Annually" checkbox if you want the workflows to be paused on same dates every year.
- Use the "Clone" or "Delete" icon to Duplicate or Delete a row.
- Click on "Save" to apply the changes
Use Case
- You may want to pause workflows during specific holiday periods, like from December 25th to January 2nd, to avoid sending communications to customers during that time. Simply select the date range, choose the workflows to pause, and save the configuration.
Point to be Noted
- Maximum allowed difference between the start and end date is 15 days.
- A Workflow should not be part of two or more date ranges that are overlapping.
- Pause feature is available for Admin roles only.
